Privacy Policy

What we collect
When you use the translator, the text you submit is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini, or OpenAI if configured) to generate a translation. We store submitted text, the resulting translation, the selected mode, tone, and Brainrot Meter level in our database to power caching (so repeated requests don't need to call the AI provider again) and trending statistics. We do not require an account and do not knowingly collect names or persistent identifiers tied to translations.
Your translation history is stored only in your browser's local storage and is never sent to our servers as a "history" record — it stays on your device and can be cleared at any time from the history panel.
If you use the contact form, we store the name, email address, and message you provide so we can respond to you.
Cookies and analytics
We use minimal cookies for essential site functionality (such as remembering your dark mode preference). We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate site usage (e.g., which pages are visited), without tracking you individually across other websites.
Third-party services
Translation requests are processed by our configured AI provider (Google Gemini or OpenAI), subject to their own respective privacy policies. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Data retention
Cached translations are retained for a limited period to improve performance, after which they expire automatically. Contact form messages are retained as needed to respond to and track inquiries.
Your choices
You can clear your local translation history at any time. To request deletion of any data you've submitted via the contact form, email us using the contact page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
